Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
Privacy isn't a feature we added — it's how QuestionsAnswer.com is built. This policy explains, in plain language, what limited information we handle, what we never do with it, and the choices and rights you have.

1. Our privacy principles
- Never trained on your data. Your questions and answers are not used to train AI models.
- Never sold. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- Minimal by default. You can use the service without creating an account. We collect as little as possible to make it work.
- Your documents stay with you. Any files you add for context are processed and stored in your own browser — they are never uploaded to our servers.
2. Information we handle
Questions and answers
When you ask a question, we send it to our AI provider to generate a response and return it to you. We do not require you to sign in, and we do not build an advertising profile about you. We may retain questions in an aggregated and de-identified form (not tied to your identity) to operate and improve the service — for example, to suggest helpful related questions.
Email address
If you choose to give us your email — for instance, to have a guide sent to you or to contact us — we store it so we can send you what you requested and respond to you. Providing your email is always optional.
Documents you add
If you attach your own documents for better context, they are parsed and indexed locally in your browser's storage. Their contents are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Only the small, relevant excerpt needed to answer a specific question is included with that question.
Usage information
We keep basic, aggregated counters (such as how often a feature is used) to understand and improve the product. These are not used to identify you.
3. How we use information
- To provide answers and operate the service.
- To improve quality, relevance, and reliability (using aggregated/de-identified data).
- To send you materials you specifically requested and to respond to your messages.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.
4. AI processing & no training
Answers are generated using Google's Gemini models via Google Cloud / Vertex AI. Under Google Cloud's enterprise terms, customer data submitted for inference is not used to train or fine-tune AI models, and is not reviewed by humans, without the customer's instruction. Google's published terms state: "Google will not use Customer Data to train or fine-tune any AI/ML models without Customer's prior permission or instruction." See the Google Cloud Service Specific Terms.
5. Documents you add
The optional document feature runs entirely on your device. Files you add are stored in your browser (using local browser storage) so the AI can reference them for more relevant answers. You can remove them at any time from the Documents panel, and clearing your browser storage deletes them. We never receive a copy of your files.
6. Advertising & sponsored results
Some answers may include clearly labeled sponsored results, which is how the service is supported. These are delivered through Google's advertising products (such as AdSense for Search). Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads in accordance with their own policies. You can learn more and manage your choices at Google's Advertising policies and Google Privacy Policy. We do not provide your conversations to advertisers.
7. Cookies & local storage
We use essential browser storage to make the product work (for example, to keep your language preference and to store documents you add on your device). We do not use our own cookies to track you across other websites. Third-party advertising partners may set cookies as described in section 6. Most browsers let you control or clear cookies and local storage in their settings.
8. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — for example, Google Cloud / Vertex AI (AI inference), our hosting provider, and our data store provider.
- Advertising partners as described in section 6.
- Legal and safety — to comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers — if the service is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
9. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Aggregated/de-identified usage data may be kept to operate and improve the service. If you provided your email, we keep it until you ask us to remove it or it is no longer needed. Documents you add live in your browser and are controlled entirely by you.
10. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@questionsanswer.com and we will respond as required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
11. Security
All requests travel over encrypted HTTPS. Because we keep so little, there is very little about you to expose. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle.
12. Children's privacy
QuestionsAnswer.com is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. International users
We operate the service from, and may process information in, the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers. By using the service, you understand your information may be processed in these locations.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves or as required by law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
